Before you start to clean any windows, move your furniture out of the way for easy access to the window.
Make a mixture of 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water and use this to fill a plastic spray bottle. This homemade window-cleaner works as well as well as store bought products.
Before you spray the window, wet a sponge, squeeze it out, and use it to remove the worst of the fingerprints and smudges.
With a clean, squeezed out sponge, spray the vinegar solution on the window, one area at a time. Use the sponge to rub the solution in.
Still concentrating on one area of the window at a time and working quickly to prevent streaking, buff the glass dry using a dry microfiber cloth.
As a tip, use very little vinegar solution when you spray or it will be a lot more work to buff and dry.
Before you put your sponge away, be sure you rinse with out well with cool water.
For a quick mirror cleaning, quickly buff the mirror to a shine using a microfiber cloth squeezed our in water. If the mirror's very grubby, squeeze a sponge out in warm water mixed with a little dishwashing liquid. Wipe the mirror witrh the damp sponge, then buff it with a dry microfiber cloth.
